The global economic crisis has sharply reduced the number of vacancies in the labor market. The staff reduction proceeded at an accelerated pace, where previously there were three employees – now one person works with a wide range of responsibilities and a small salary. However, there is a certain minimum threshold for the number of employees, falling below which the employer runs the risk of paralyzing the work of the firm or production. For example, if you fire all storekeepers from the warehouse, you can save on salaries, but there will be no one to ship the products.
Now the labor market has come to some unstable balance, however, not all enterprises and firms are doing well enough to hire people for a decent wage. But they have to work somehow. And various tricks are used.
For example. The salary announced during the interview sometimes does not match the salary received at the end of the month. This happens quite often. They will explain to you that this is the policy of the company and your salary will be raised somehow later. To avoid this, demand the conclusion of an employment contract from the first day, it must indicate the full amount of the salary. Avoid “gray” schemes – half the amount in the contract – half “in the envelope”. The amount in the envelope may simply not be paid to you, citing temporary financial difficulties that may last for more than one year.
Sometimes the contract is not concluded at all for a trial period. After a month of work, you are nicely informed that you are fired because you did not cope with the work. When asked about salary, they shrug their shoulders or pay a small amount that does not even cover travel to the place of work. It is almost impossible to prove anything because it turns out that you did not work for them. Avoid companies that offer to work on a “verbal agreement” or “internship” for the first month, referring to the red tape with documents. Do not start work without concluding an employment contract in duplicate, one of which must be handed over to you.
Before you go to an interview – read reviews about the company on the Internet, you should be alerted by a large number of vacancies or negative reviews. A job where wages are paid on time is now in great demand, and people do not quit from there, accordingly, there are very few or no vacancies there, perhaps at the interview they will talk to you about expanding the state, but in our time of crisis, only the universe can expand. but not a manufacturing enterprise that is in debt. If at an interview they demand money from you to open an account, make a salary plastic card, or issue a work pass – do not hesitate, these are scammers. They may also be asked to register an LLC, individual entrepreneur, take a loan for a company, write an application for transfer and provide a pension insurance card number. In any case, you shouldn’t agree to this, scammers take advantage of the fact that desperate people are ready to take on any job and even, paradoxically, pay money for the illusory hope of employment.
The latter is used by dishonest Personnel Agencies. Once you find an ad that a person is required in your specialty, and a very decent salary for your region is indicated. You call, you are invited for an interview, and then it turns out that the vacancy was posted by a recruiting agency and you will have to pay a little for employment. One and a half – two thousand, and they will conclude an agreement with you on the provision of “information services”. The provision of “information services” will consist in printing out a list of vacancies from the Internet, but, unfortunately, your desired vacancy will suddenly be closed, or will be vacated only in a month. There are many options, but there is only one point, to extract as much money from you as possible. And this recruiting agency does not guarantee employment.
Avoid such agencies and unscrupulous employers. We wish you success in your employment!
